textgen.app is a free collection of everyday text utilities built for developers, writers, and anyone who works with text. Every tool runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is ever sent to a server.
The toolkit covers the tasks that come up constantly but rarely have a good dedicated tool: generating dummy text, encoding and decoding Base64 or URLs, formatting JSON, converting letter case, counting words, hashing strings, decoding JWTs, creating UUIDs, and generating random passwords and names. All tools are instant and work offline once the page has loaded.
Because all processing happens locally in your browser, there is no back-end that could log or store your input. Sensitive content — API keys, personal data, private documents — stays on your device. We do not require an account or sign-up to use any tool.
textgen.app is free for personal and commercial use. There are no rate limits, no paywalls, and no feature tiers. Generated output is yours to use however you like.
